Its been a wk now and still no goods, so i tried to track my order but when i put in my details it says my password was incorrect so i asked them to send me a reminder, still no email received its now been 2 days. What appalling service RIVER ISLAND! Dpd advises I have called to change so I insist it wasn’t me and give them my phone number to which they reply that’s not the number river island gave them, lots of emails later and dpd have advised they will make sure roger island refund the order and will investigate how someone has my details and was able to download the app with my details!
Recently purchased a pair of black trousers for work.. costing £30. Being polite I said I would purchase the different size and return the wrong size another day.

I had put in an order for items for kids confirmation never received my order contacted riverisland on Facebook and email mostly dealt with poppy she is unhelpful and most definitely the worst customer service I have ever seen refused to give me a refund there stating my delivery was signed for which I clearly explained this was not my signature and I did not recieve my order I will never again buy off river island and I will be taking further action as I will not be in the lost of my money stay far away people they dont care once they get your money after that they dont give a care for there customers poppy is the worst I have ever seen. £42 lost. Contacted the "customer services" who agreed to refund and sent a courier to collect the suit. Can’t wait to have to wait absolutely ages for my refund. One of the items was not what I had ordered. With this in mind I said a receipt was my preferred preference and she said she still needed my email and then printed me a receipt. So are the head office! Then I was placed on hold to which they came back and said my item had been sent back to the distribution centre for reasons they didn’t know, they couldn’t give me any other explanation other than ‘something wrong with the order’ fobbed me off, offered a refund for an item I can’t order again because it’s out of stock. Raised a case on Resolver. The link on the email for returns policy does not work. She mentioned that the item could be returned, as normal online purchases, for a full refund, if it was not suitable.The item did not fit and so I returned it, via mail, at my own cost, using their labels etc.It took approximately 14 days for River Island to send me a notification and a GIFT CARD in lieu of a refund to my card!!!
I wanted to change the top for a bigger size but once at the till the unhelpful assistant explained that there was nothing she could do? Your personal details are safe with us.

I purchased a top from River Island online following the size guide and when it arrived it was absolutely minuscule and makes me look like a tramp.

Absolutely disgused this evening at the Deepdale branch. bought a coat for my daughters bday end of sept gave it yesterday on her birthday and inside pocket is a car key and chocolate wrapper !!
I will take this further just on principle as it is their error.

I returned a further £110 of clothes and 3 weeks later, I still don't have the money in my account. Right where do i start? The in store policy needs to be more flexible to those who have items, but don't have a receipt or is slightly over 28 days.
The staff in there are really helpful as coat too big but they found me smaller size (must be getting a bit slimmer l wish! ) Brilliant.Returned it. Don't think I'll be shopping there again anytime soon, the clothes are obviously coming up as different size and they don't recognise there's a problem. Appalling service, no explanation, no email notification given and left without my order. Will visit again as this is a lovely store with fab staff many thanks Lindax. I made an online order from River Island. RI sizes are quite generous I think. My daughter bought some fluffy joggers that had come apart whilst wearing also came under investigation!! I bought some shoes in store and returned them via Hermes. They don't care about you, me, your money, my money.
It was after the 5 working days I started to wonder where my money was so I emailed them. Thanks, but no thanks. I felt like a criminal! Proof of purchase is not necessary but will be helpful if you still have it. £76!! RI can be pricey.
However the coat was too big so I went to the store in Dudley High street to return it. Don’t understand how can they explain some of the prices they have.
Which means that I use this service through River Island's website. This information was not on the original receipt it was not on the returns not or the invoice inside the bag or it was not made clear to me by the staff in store. Disappointing customer service and confusing "paperless" receipt policy. Shop elsewhere. Terrible, will never ever shop here again. Great company, I will definitley shop here again. Overall, if shopping in store I would prefer a paper receipt as digital can cause all sorts of problems!
