Look no further than Netflix's Kingdom--read our Season 2 review below. While the series does suffer a little from overacting and misplaced humour, for the most part Kingdom does an excellent job across its 6 episodes to never feel like it’s outstayed its welcome.

Character portrayals are important and so is showing things rather than simply stating them with a few lines of dialogue. Being both a zombie and political drama helps to make sure that there is never a boring moment in Kingdom. We are also finally introduced to the snitch who has been giving up Lee Chang’s actions at every corner to the Haewon Cho clan, though it is difficult to hold him accountable for his actions once we find out his reason for doing so. But in other ways, they’re reminiscent of vampires. A series titled Love Alarm has also been confirmed as a Netflix original. Kingdom is a Netflix series made in South Korea, and since we love Korean horror productions, this is our kind of show. Fans of zombies are sure to love Kingdom and the reinvigorated setting and tone of the series works so well to heighten tensions. Fans of the first season will definitely not want to miss this as it brings everything you love about the first movie and adds onto it, with more backstory, more character development, and of course, more Usain Bolt-like zombies. Filled with more zombies, more political intrigue, and even more zombies, Kingdom Season Two is the perfect follow-up to Netflix’s original Korean period zombie drama. In a really good way. If the first three episodes are already this good, then we certainly can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for us. Though we do not see as much of Seo Bi in the first three episodes of Season Two, she still definitely played a key role in a major event in episode two and three.
It does take time to get into, but it is worth it in the end. Go figure! I won’t reveal what that is here of course but suffice to say, it may just offset the balance of the second season. Episode 4
I love psychological horror, survival horror and kick-ass women. Even though this is a zombie show, the zombies don’t really make an appearance until the very end of episode 1. If you continue to use this site we will assume that you are happy with it.

If you liked Train to Busan and you’ll give the story a chance, then you should enjoy this. Whether it be Seo-Bi stepping up and showing off her empathetic selflessness or Lee Chang’s inner conflict around his lineage and morality, there’s enough to chew over here to keep the quieter moments in the series worth sticking with.
However, the zombies in Kingdom are very different from what we see in other zombie movies and TV shows. Episode 3 In Kingdom, this also means we get to see the most gorgeous shots of both Korean nature, culture, and architecture. It’ll come eventually. Not in their overall look or how they act. Chaos inevitably breaks out and what follows are several episodes of thrilling chases, fighting and generally well shot action sequences placed between the characterisation of our dysfunctional group fighting to survive. While strange rumors about their ill king grip a kingdom, the crown prince becomes their only hope against a mysterious plague overtaking the land. Which once again goes to show the amount of care and attention the producers have given into this show, shaping each of the main casts into nuanced, three-dimensional characters who each have their own motives and reasons for their actions.
