There's also 2 seats next to those 4 (with a gap in between for the wheelchair) so their companion could enjoy the movie with them. The viewing and sound qualities were both good, but I've never had issues with it before so there's no visible difference there. I've been going to this theatre for decades, so have enjoyed the quality/exceptional/indie movies it specialized in - the sort that are character driven, rather than blow-'em-up techno-tricks, that make you think and feel, that can educate while entertaining, that may be indies or foreign films, etc. The obvious entrance, with ticket booth on Burrard already in place has been moved to the corner, I guess to entice everyone entering as they pass the bar. Suddenly, $3.25 for a bottle of water doesn't seem so expensive.Unfortunately, like the theatres at International Village, soundproofing is an issue.

We went to one of the smaller screen rooms. Towards closing, probably the last 10 minutes the movie stopped abruptly.
For some reason I thought that was a lounge area and you still entered the same way as before. I am not sure how an action movie or or something with major visual affects would be on these screens, but for a comedy, drama or chick flick it's perfect!
Then the management claim that they do not understand why the computer has failed, and that it will take probably 5 minutes to reboot.
I always liked it for the films it chose to show, and it continues to select pretty good films- some with alternative themes.

It felt like a shared experience - the very reason for going out to a movie instead of watching comfortably from my couch!On a recent visit I had a local organic chocolate bar that was a happy discovery :) The cinema is licensed and there are a nice selection of craft brew (as well as Earnest Ice Cream)! There was only one person working the concession stand which was terrible because a line was forming. My one major complaint unrelated to the theatre itself is the people who choose their seats.

I like the new setup but I think it's ill conceived.

Also, it might have just been the particular movie (Black Panther) but the quality of the 3D sucked - it was very dim and blurry, so any action sequence was just a muddy mess.
