Or was that just lifting it straight out of Super Friends and then removing Sinestro because GL wasn't around? It seems like it was maybe an abandoned Super Friends reboot, given the character line-up and episodic title card presentation... but also it has a shamefully stereotyped taxi cab character (voiced by a white guy) and some bratty-ass teen characters (including I think the only adapted version of DC's own Karate Kid, whose name was licensed for the completely unrelated film franchise). The heroes are no better. Having just watched the rather incredible "Assault of Arkham" this was not the movie to follow it with. The young heroes from the future in this fillm are not to great. This DVD was well packaged and came on time but the story itself was lacking that special something that makes a Justice League gathering interesting. There's actually not much Justice League-ing, makes sense why it was swept away... unearthed only on HBO Max. Normally I prefer to make movies with smaller amounts of characters, to allow for more intimate dialogue scenes and character interactions (a lot more like the four member crew of the Interceptor in Green Lantern the Animated Series). Luthor ends up frozen in a block of ice. Green Lantern doesn't make an appearance even though he was in the original Challenge series - and the episode in particular where they change the past of 3 superfriends which this film is paying some homage to. Calling the show JLA Adventures when the Justice League mainstays are largely absent from the story, which, in fact, revolves around two characters that are (or were) Legion of Super Heroes characters seems disingenuous as well. 306) Lex Luthor is frozen during a battle with the Justice League.
