I'm not from Wichita and had no idea they do this, so I never tried any food (except popcorn I purchased at the bar). The film won a Golden Globe Award for Best Outdoor Drama. The food came out surprisingly fast considering the movie was sold out and lots of people were ordering. Movie was good and the picture / sound was great so no worries there.
When me mentioned it to the "kid" at the podium where you come in, he just laughed and said yeah,, that's been happening!! We've never ordered food but he usually gets a mixed drink and I get a beer. His least popular move is to take away the guns of everyone in town, no matter how important. Pricey! I guess they've taken Their mixed drinks off their menu and don't make 32oz mixed drinks anymore but they can still make a few of the 16 oz ones. Pizza, burgers, hot dogs, cheese fries--all soggy. All Wichita Regal movie theaters to close temporarily again this week. We have had dinner there three times since the change in ownership. I only found out later when someone else ordered. Knowing Oldtown, I see why this might make sense.
